So what is it that you are searching for?
Techniques: well they may sound like the answer, but think again.
Why do techniques have limited value? They focus your attention to what
is not there.
Current fighting doctrine puts a lot weight on defeating one attacker, especially the mixed Martial Artists. Instructors are like Politician in disguise, happily peddling their technical skills– and why not, they are easy to sell? It is the easy fix. The fight pitch continues to exist and the truth would take several life-times to dig through the truck loads of technical BS out there.

Fighters' operate in a different world to a person who has to survive. This is a critical difference. Just because other people are learning fighting, this does not mean it is right (The Socially Organised Statements). I always worry when seeing the development of well-oiled fighting machines strutting their stuff for public consumption. The arrogance and ignorance disease begins with each new crop of young minds observing the social benefit of this shit. By the time they grow up, there big heads have made them target for the paddlers of fight games.

The Corner Trap Game
In a chaotic situation you will think and see and do a lot more than you ever thought possible. The wisdom is not found in training halls or books, but actually experiencing the survival response. The problem is focusing on the problem, being taken down or knocked out, right. My answer to that: you missed the moment.
There is no reality in training techniques, given that even an untrained person can survive a multiple attack. Why do you feel so inadequate? Experts are easy to take out of the equation. Memories of glorious times is just another anchor.
You may now be thinking that is BS. Well I am with you on that, but survival aptitude is not related to fighting ability. Fighting is a separate skill set, which relies on a second chance and second-hand knowledge. Real is about the moment; you have one chance to get it right. This is hard to get your head around as a trained fighter.
Well I not her to convince you with my insights. My advice is, stop thinking about yourself and think how you would attack other people without getting hurt. Think like a criminal or a hunter and then try to work out how the victim would try to survive against your shit. Better still, be that criminal who does not want to get hurt or caught in the act. Get a gun, stay hidden; Bomb, the victim is gone. Who is the hero now? That’s an unprovoked attack. Exactly, the victim lost again, why - technique do not work for all situations.
The real bullies out there are your trainer and mentors – they are filling you head with BS to become better hunters. I ask you, when does defence become an attack? I hope you like the inside of a jail cell.
I would like to see how you would fit a perfect technique in an unruly multiple attack. Techniques from my point of view are mental baggage that allow the world to pass you by. Magician’s use this gap in perception to mystify you, called inattention. You and your ego have been giving the multiple attackers time to take you out.
Again there are few experienced exponents who have trained for a true full-on multiple attack events. Why is this so? Well, we are voyeurs needing to soak up what the gladiators do. So where has the magic gone? It is there, you just cannot see it.
So where are the skills to fight off multiple attackers?
With this in mind, why does a group of attackers still give famed fighters enough shit to destroy untarnished reputations in a blink of an eye? Let’s begin, there is nothing glorious about dealing with a bunch of shit heads bearing down on you as the victim and who wants to tell their friends how fifteen years of training just got F__ked-upped.
Why are current approaches so limited? It boils down to two responses; the social response and the survival response. From my experience, if you have something to prove; it’s a social response. This winner takes all attitude will not do well to save your life when dealing with many attackers. Just STOP; are you in the market for more techniques and better fighting skills, you are wasting your time reading this.
Let me say, “as soon as you believe in your technical skills, you will be an easy target for a group”. Belief is the social response and a fatal crutch to rely on when suddenly attacked. I hate to tell you, reality cannot be found in technical solutions, stick with fighting for glory.
Have you made the mistake of mentally disrespecting the people who could attack you? If yes, reality will strike you dead in a blink of an eye. A premeditated violence does not rely on fighting skill. Expectancy is the quickest way to shut down and get you killed.
The issue to address are those internal beliefs and values and rule taught to you since your birth are like a lead weight and will sell you out: you have been programmed to ignore any snap decision to save your life when facing extreme danger.
Let’s start with fear and your ego. Here are some first line mental delusions that will stop you dealing with multiple attackers:
- The reason you are a good victims is you are good at it already.
- You think too much, which traps your thoughts in the past.
- You are seeing what you want to see.
- You worship hindsight, fear foresight and ignore the present.
- Your intuition is ignored – replaced by deluded beliefs and values.
- Planning goals – bypass reality.
- You believe - when others agree as a collective.
- You are too willing to share experiences – where there are none.
- You replace reality with new games or stories.
- Experts are control freaks – that is anxiety disorder
Just to remind you, I am not talking about fighting, but survival; your life.
You cannot dream up a survival situation or attach stories and spin to what could happen during a survival moment. If you slip on the floor, you cannot grasp air or the moment and rely on a specific strategy.
Your first lesson: your upbringing forces you to respond to aggression like flies attracted to shit. This means you have willingly given the aggressors the right to put you down. Your guiding voice shuts you down I am supposed to be a fighter. You are your worst enemy.
Second Lesson: understanding who you are. Your training has made you the warrior, ready for all types of battle with military precision and strategic excellence. Ask yourself, could you be the aggressor or the victim when you have a gun? I would say you rather fall on the side of the professional aggressor; able to set up traps to take your victim’s life. So what is survival? It is probably when you are forced to stand alone, defenceless and clueless when someone else’s gun unpredictably fired at you.
Third lesson: how much time do you have? You may have a lifetime or none. When attacked as a victim, you have no time to contemplate fighting. Hesitation is an eternity, time slows as the knife passes through your kidney. Again, you have just disrespected the attackers. Sinful.
Reality has no language as we know it. Take a mental check: if you are thinking, you are dreaming of technical stuff. Given that you have seen the punch, you are already too late to respond to a life threat. My advice is, become familiar with idea of real time. Thinking incorporates a desire to control the events around you, you are too late. One consolation is the attackers are no better at defence. They just want to obliterate their victim in the shortest amount of time.
The problem is not the attack, but a life time of social conditioning and programming: trust me I have the answers. Sucker.
Consider this carefully: you really have no right to control other people. My aim is to get you to view the world differently, but it is not for me to make you change your viewpoint. That is your choice.
So what do you do when you are taken to ground and choked out? Shit--Shit -- Shit ... It is too late for learning a counter when there are several people around you ready to use their weapons. So, how do you silence your inner voice of fear and doubt? “Necessity will be the mother of invention” in a survival situation.
In reality, there is always an unseen trap or weapon aiming at you without your knowledge. The image of being hit on the back of your head from nowhere does not have a technical solution. Death is also not a crazy solution, it is the attacker’s right to do what drives them to extreme violence. So do you feel insecure now? Well I am not surprised.
Just remember there are is no reality in words. Have you got it yet? You are facing armed multiple attackers and who cares what I say now or afterwards. Forget those hopeful super human capabilities found in all martial Arts sales approaches. It is the bull-shit in your head from years of training and the other lead weights that is putting you in danger. There is no way of selecting that right set of skill when the shit hits the fan. This is why even the best are still are looking for answers in Martial Arts circles. This site is not for beginner and not to be too stupid they will still need to start with techniques to begin their journey.
