Defence Against multiple attackers
Everyone wants answers
This site is dedicated to developing defence skills against multiple attackers. Diagrams, picture, videos and articles are used to challenge current beliefs and approaches towards fighting off a group of aggressive attackers. My intention is to put the reader right in the heat of a many attackers and offer an experience that will challenge fighting skills currently peddled in Martial Arts.

With this in mind, why does a group of attackers still give fighters enough shit to destroy reputations in a blink of an eye? There is too much disrespect of the collective intelligence of a well-armed group of determined attackers. When let loose on their terms everybody’s skills are tested and exposed. There is nothing glorious about dealing with a bunch of shit heads. Do you want to tell you mates that you F__ked-upped.
Why are current understandings limited? It boils down to two responses; the social response that peddles fear and the survival response promoting life. From my experience, if you have something to prove, you will be dead meat when facing many attackers. It is not like those successful demonstrations or people upping the ante by going CrAzY. I am proposing there is are better ways to acquire more realistic solutions. I have to stop you here; are you in the market for more techniques and better fighting skills, you are wasting your time reading on.
Let me say, “as soon as you believe in your technical skills you are dead meat”. You have made the fatal mistake of losing sight of the bigger picture. Reality cannot be found in a technical solutions, this can only lead to disappointment. Are you the type of person that has disrespected the attacker’s ingenuity and ability to take you out? Expectancy is the quickest way to shut down your mind’s eye to real time information, the stuff needed to survive the chaos of any multiple attack.
Fear and ego live together. Here are some first line mental skills to allow to survive the chaos of a multiple attacker:
1) The reason we are good victims – we are good at it.
2) We think too much and dream up enemies.
3) We see what we want to see.
4) We worship hindsight, fear foresight and ignore the present.
5) Our intuition is ignored – replaced by belief.
6) Panning and goals – bypass reality.
7) Believe in what you ae told - when others agree.
8) We are too willing to share experiences – where there are none.
9) We replace reality for games.
10) Experts are always under pressure to exaggerate.
Just to remind you, I am not talking about fighting, but survival; your life.
You cannot dream up a survival situation. You cannot attached any stories and spin to the techniques you may use. Real is the period of time you cannot put your hand on or explain to others.
First lesson: Aggressive fighting people want to grab your attention, both physically and mentally. Your upbringing forces you to respond to aggression like flies attracted to shit. This means you have willingly given the aggressors the right to put you down. Be confident may help, but that inner voice shuts you down with a gut churning response. You are your worst enemy.
Second Lesson: understanding who you are. Maybe you are the warrior trained for all types of battle with military precision and strategic skills. Could you be the aggressor, the professional hunter, able to set up traps to take your victim’s life? Are you the pro-fighter, the athlete who may have superhuman skills that make you dangerous? So what is survival? It is probably when you are forced to stand alone, defenceless and clueless?
Third lesson: how much time do you have? You may have a lifetime or none. When attacked you have no time to contemplate fighting. Hesitation in a survival situation is an eternity; time for attackers to do their dirty business. You have just disrespected the attackers. Sinful.
Reality has no language as we know it. Take a mental check: if you are thinking, you are dreaming, the present has bypassed you. Given that you have seen the punch, you are already too late. My advice is to become familiar with idea of real time. Thinking incorporates a desire to control events around you. The attackers are no better than you at creating bad dreams. The time to act passed into oblivion and into darkness when you hesitate. Your next response has become one big problem to solve. You really have no right to control other people. On the other hand if you are busy with the big picture, you will not have any time to concern yourself with anyone for more than a moment.
So what do you do when you are taken to ground and choked out? Shit-- Shit -- Shit ... It is too late for learning a counter when there are other people around. So silence your inner voice. Do you know what I am talking about? “Necessity will be the mother of invention” in a survival situation.
In reality, there is always an unseen trap or weapon like a knife aiming for your heart and a baseball bat going for the back of your head and so on. Death is not a crazy solution, it is the attacker’s right to do what drives them into battle. So do you feel insecure now? Well I am not surprised, again you have allowed experts and mentors to grab you attention and manipulate your inner fears. There is no reality in words. Have you got it yet? Shit you are facing multiple attackers who have an unlimited set of attacks strategies to take your out. If you are thinking and imagining your dangerous, you are in dreamland. Forget those super human possibilities, that’s a sales pitch. The bull-shit in your head, that inner chatter consumes precious time for those real time reactions needed for survival. There is no way of selecting that right set of skill when the shit hits the fan. This is why even the best are still looking for answers.
Multiple attackers and martial Arts Blog
So where are the skills to fight off multiple attackers?
Have you come to the realization that there are few experienced exponents who have trained for a full-on multiple attack event? The experts are unusually good at fighting, but not so hot at real time survival events.
So what is it that you need?
You need a multiple attack exercise.
Techniques may sound like the answer, think again.
Why do techniques have limited value when facing multiple attackers?
Current fighting doctrine puts a lot weight on defeating one attacker, especially the ground fighters. Instructors are like Politician in disguise, happily peddling their technical views– and why not? It is going to fix your problem the easy way. Every technique has to have a good pitch to exist. The truth be told it would take several life-times to dig through the truck loads of technical BS out there.

Fighters' operate in a different world to a person who has to survive. The critical difference starts with believing in yourself, not what others think of you (The Socially Organized Statements). Because other do it does not mean it is right. Today fighters are coached to be well-oiled fighting machines; an enhanced human built on arrogance and force feed reputations. With all that attention who would not grow a big head and not to be surprised a bigger target. It also leaves a big hole in their defences when dealing with a chaotic situation like a group of attackers.
The question is are you ready to give up being a control-freak and step into the chaos of a survival situation? Try the Corner Trap and yes it looks like a football game, but with a lot more bite when done well.
It is a given that you will eat dirt if you rely on techniques. Then what do you do? Shit you are back at the start again- get over the spin of techniques.

The Corner Trap Game
To follow the words and stories from others is a mental trap. You will think and see and do not do due to fear. Dreaming of being the best is a dream far from the wisdom you need to survive. If taken down or knocked out when facing multiple attackers, you are in big trouble, right. The take away message is you have no time to stuff-around consuming time with another person’s criticism or judgement. There is no reality in training dreams. Even an untrained person can survive a multiple attack given the person has not been made to feel inadequate, by so called experts.
You may now be thinking that cannot be true? Well you have just asked for a second chances. You are living in a world of imagination. Real is about the moment, one chance to get it right.
My advice is stop thinking for other people and their successes, they are just stories that will not be repeated. The real bullies are your trainer and mentors – they are filling you head with BS and fears and this is the reason people become well trained fighters and warriors and hunters trying to assert maximum control over their victims. They are people you are trying to defend yourself against.
This suggestions must sound out of place. I would sense fighters would resist these opinions. It is like being in another world where you are free from other people's mental manipulations and fearsome reputations and stories. How do you really know what you will do when you have to survive? You have never been there and if you have, did you feel guilty about your outcomes? I would like to see how you would fit a perfect technique in an unruly multiple attack. Techniques are mental baggage that allow the world pass you by; during your inattention the multiple attentions from many attackers have time to take you out.
Again there are few experienced exponents who have trained for a true full-on multiple attack events. Why is this so? We are voyeurs needed to soak up what the gladiators do. So where is the magic gone?
